On November 17th, Xirrus announced two new chassis models in the XR Array product line - the 2-slot XR-1000 and the 4-slot XR-2000. These new chassis expand the XR series from 2 to 16 APs in a single Array, broadening the number of deployment applications for the XR.
The XR-1000 and XR-2000 Arrays will be available early in 2012. Until the new 4-slot XR-2000 is available, the 8-slot XR-4000 when configured with 4 APs is being sold with a special limited time credit that reduces its price to that of the XR-2000.
